The LeBron 8 V/2 “Run on Red” is a full ounce lighter than the previous LeBron 8 shoe. The upper is made using Flywire technology with lightweight mesh in key areas. The Flywire technology makes the shoe lighter while maintaining strength and support. The technology has been used in Nike’s Air Zoom Talon and a series of soccer shoes including the CR Mercurial Vapor Superfly II.

The red shoes with green laces go on sale December 26 for $160. Additional colors will become available a few days later on January 8.

Nike will release the Zoom KD III on Christmas Day as well in a “No Yield for Yellow” colorway. The shoe is named after basketball star Kevin Durant, who wanted to incorporate story telling in the shoe. In addition to five lightning bolts to represent his team, piano keys to represent KD’s love of music, and a BF62 repeat pattern on the outsole to remember when KD scored 62 points at Barry Farms in his home town of Washington D.C. the design incorporates technology features that make the shoe perform while staying affordable.  The KD III will sell for $88.

A third shoe, Nike Zoom Kobe VI, will be available in the “Green Means Go” color on Christmas Day. The shoe is inspired by Kobe’s annual Christmas Day game, which is against Miami this year. The Kobe VI uses performance elements such as a low-profile shoe that weighs 10.6 ounces for a men’s size 9. It’s one of Nike’s lightest basketball shoes. The shoe also has a built-in custom fit with a Dual Density sockliner that molds to the shape of your foot as you wear the shoe. The sockliner wraps up higher than most comparable ones to cup the foot for a better fit.

The Nike Zoom Kobe VI will go on sale Christmas Day. Customized versions of the shoe will be available for sale at NIKEiD on December 24 for $130.
