G-Form Goes Stealth with Padding

Some sports require protective gear. Said protective gear is often awkward due to its bulkiness, stiffness and other restraints from the movement of the sport at hand. Rhode Island-based G-Form has impact absorbing protection gear that goes on soft but turns stiff like armor when the pressure of an impact is experienced.

The shin pads, knee pads and elbow pads go on like a snug sleeve, made from a flexible, lightweight, breathable wicking fabric. Key areas such as the shin, knee and elbow then have a rubbery padding made using Reactive Protection Technology. The padding is a composite blend of PORON XRD material and proprietary G-Form materials. It goes on rubbery and light, a state that does not hinder activity. Yet when the G-Form padding experiences impact, the flexible, molded, exoskeleton rate-dependent impact pad becomes stiff and actually protects those delicate areas such as the knees, elbows and shins from serious injury.

G-Form first began making these protective garments in bright yellow. All three models are now available in black. This means the garment and the padding are black. The color was a request from many customers and extreme sports enthusiasts.

Padding can be used in any sport where there could be impact to the elbows, knees and shins. It’s advisable to wear padding such as the G-Form Reactive Protection Technology gear for skate boarding, rollerblading, mountain biking, soccer and field hockey.
