ShirtShuttle Helps Commuters Tote a Clean Shirt

Biking to work sounds like such a brilliant idea. That is until you actually do it and show up to work with a damp, wrinkled shirt. The ShirtShuttle from Commuter Technologies, which is currently available exclusively at The Conran Shop in the U.K., is a weather-tight case fits a clean shirt and stores it in your backpack or messenger bag so it will arrive dry and crease-free.

The ShirtShuttle is a rubberized case that appears to fit a shirt nicely folded fresh from the cleaners. If your shirts come back from the cleaners on hangers or if you wash -and iron- your own (gasp!), the case comes with a folding board for flawless transportation. This folding board isn’t like the Plexiglas or cardboard sheet you used to fold shirts at your job at the Gap when you were in high school. The folding board has curved edges, or a bumper, that prevents the shirt from creasing. It actually stays in the folded shirt and then gets put in the ShirtShuttle. The case itself has a recessed carrying handle so you can easily grab it out of your bag and get dressed. It also has dual-action pads or tabs that grip the shirt to keep it floating in the ShirtShuttle and remain unwrinkled.

The folding board also acts as a hanger for your shirt, should you want to hang it on the back of your office door when you’re changing.

Some offices now have showers for workers to rinse off after a commute. A shower and a fresh shirt makes the bike commute that much more possible. This ShirtShuttle is not only water- and weatherproof, it keeps your shirt from getting wrinkled or crushed in your bag. Anything that lets you arrive to your desk looking presentable in the morning is a good option.
