Riddell Donates Helmets to Youth Football Programs

Riddell is donating 1,000 new Riddell Revolution Speed football helmets to youth football leagues in need of new equipment. Many school and league programs have too many kids participating in the program, or the equipment costs are too much to keep up with. Unfortunately, it’s the kids who are put in jeopardy when teams use old equipment.

Helmet donations are going to teams and programs in Arkansas, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas and West Virginia. Specific programs benefiting from the program include Chicago Youth Sports Association in the Southside of Chicago; Arkansas Christian Youth Athletic League in Little Rock, Arkansas; and Texas Women’s and Children’s Advocacy Services in Dallas.

All 1,000 helmets being donated are Riddell Revolution Speed helmets. The Riddell Revolution Speed helmet earned five stars – a top rating – last year by the Virginia Tech – Wake Forest School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences.

“Riddell is pleased to see so many communities benefit from this effort. It’s our hope that this donation will help kids be more physically active while enjoying the game of football,” said Dan Arment, president at Riddell. “The pure enthusiasm and joy for the game exhibited by these kids, and the coaches who so generously volunteer their time to instruct them, proves that football is thriving across the country. We couldn’t be happier to support the effort in helping these kids as they continue to grow.”
