Shoot HD Video From the Sunglass

We’ve seen various movies and TV shows that suggest that glasses could double as a camera. Well, this is a case where science fiction has instead become science fact. The Pivothead are sunglasses that feature a small camera lens in the center, right between the eyes as they say.

This camera can record 1080p video or 8megapixel still photos. Could be useful for visiting museums and other places where photos are typically not allowed – if you don’t mind breaking the rules of course!

But beyond being spyglasses the Pivothead, which can record audio as well as video and offer 8GB of internal storage, can be used as a rugged action camera. So instead of mounting a GoPro or similar camcorder on a helmet or handlebars, you just need put on the shades!

Controlling the camera is all conducted from three buttons on the frames, so if you are using these as spy glasses you should be sure that the subject doesn’t notice that you keep adjusting the glasses! But otherwise the only other problem is that you need to know that where you look the camera will record, and it should be noted that the video is only going to be as stable as your head!

The Pivothead glasses are available in four styles with a variety of different lens types, but all rely on the same camera technology within the frames.
