LifeProof is so sure that its iPad and iPhone cases will keep your device safe that it sells extra protection; the company will guarantee its case for one year by offering a one-time repair or replacement of the device.
It’s understandable that you might want a little extra protection. LifeProof’s nüüd case seals the back and sides of your tablet, but leaves the screen “naked.” The rubber bumper seals itself to the border of the screen to protect against water, and the company wants you to feel assured that it will do its job.
Total Water Protection will cost you. In addition to the cost of the LifeProof waterproof case, the Total Water Protection Program costs $10 an iPhone, and $20 for an iPad for a year’s worth of coverage. If you should have to call in that program, a request process and nominal service fee of $50 for the iPhone or $75 for the iPad are required. LifeProof also requires that the device was in its case, and that the case was used in accordance with all provided instructions.
