The bell has been around longer than the bicycle and was probably among the first bicycle accessories. So you may wonder, does it really need to be reinvented? Well, Spurcycle thinks so, and so do over 1,765 backers who have pledged money to purchase a bell from the company via Kickstarter.
Spurcycle has created a grown up version of the bell that looks elegant on any bike, be it a three-year-old’s cycle or a serious road bike. The bell easily sounds a clear, loud ring that alerts those around you that you’re approaching.
This is the second Kickstarter project for Spurcycle. Last year they raised funds for GripRings, a modular handlebar grip. Spurcycle’s current The Ringer campaign on Kickstarter has exceeded its goal to raise $20,000, and is approaching $100,000 in funding to get production started.
