Go With the Zurigo

ZurigoThe Bianchi Zurigo is ready to roll where a traditional road bike dares not tread. This bicycle is designed for cyclocross racing, gravel grinding, bike commuting, credit-card touring, and back road adventure riding. The Zurigo features a triple-butted, hydroformed aluminum frame, a carbon fiber fork, tapered head tube and Pressfit 30 bottom bracket. The flat-bottom top tube and internal down tube cable routing makes it easy to shoulder in a cyclocross race, while the clearance for 38c tires offers true flexibility for riders.

Bianchi Ready for Time Trial

BianchiItalian bike maker Bianchi has endured the test of time, and now is looking to bring time keeping to the wrist with a new line of watches. These Swiss-made watches are part of the new “Barcelona 1973” line, named for Felice Gimondi’s victory on a Bianchi bike at the UCI World Championships 30 years ago.

The line, which includes three different models, will be available from the bike maker beginning next month. These will each feature Bianchi’s famous celeste color. These won’t track heart rate, calories or distance but they’ll look stylish on and off the bike.

Italian Style: Gucci and Bianchi Partner for New Bike and Matching Helmet

Even if a bike is just for commuting the Italians know you should look good going and getting there. To this end Italian luxury goods designer Gucci is rolling out a bicycle with Italian bike maker Bianchi. The result is a Gucci branded road machine that will feature plenty of style for commuters, and a helmet to match.

The bike will feature a black carbon fiber frame, with the Bianchi by Gucci logo on the frame and seat, while the helmet will be available in white and black and feature the signature green/red/green branding by Gucci. What strikes us as odd is that from the photos the signature Bianchi “Celeste” color seems to be missing. Hence this is why it is a Gucci brand bike (as in Bianchi by Gucci). Likewise, the price is all Gucci with the bike reportedly carrying a $14,000 price tag while the helmet will retail for $890. Hardly small change for commuters, but can you really put a price on style – apparently you can and it is almost $15,000! Bianchi Launches Android App

Bianchi Bicycle owners can be a dedicated bunch, and we don’t blame them for loving their finely crafted Italian made machines. Now they can share their joy with a new app for Android mobile smartphones that follows the release of the iPhone and iPad launches – and don’t worry a BlackBerry version is also in the work.

The free to download app offers users the ability to surf the whole Bianchi range of products with itemized images and technical features, news and updates from the official Bianchi website and geolocation search so users can easily find the closest Bianchi dealer. And what would a Bianchi app be were it not highlighted in Celeste green?
