The durable, IP67 waterproof and dustproof rated device features an up-firing 50mm speaker and passive subwoofer, 33 foot Bluetooth range, and up to 11 hours of continuous playback with its rechargeable battery. It even offers a unique bottle shape so that it fits perfectly in water bottle cages and cup holders. It is rated to be submerged for up to 30 minutes, but hat shouldn’t be a problem because it has been designed to float if it falls overboard.

BlueAnt is looking to pump it up with its new wireless multi-sport headphones that promise to deliver unrivaled HD audio in what is billed as an “Aussie design.” The PUMP HD Sportbuds are IP67 waterproof certified and can be immersed in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. The Bluetooth earbuds further features a military-grade, rugged design to protect the premium audio components – which include 12.5 mm diameter drivers, Mylar composite diaphragms, Neodymium magnets and overhung voice coils – from rain, dust, debris, sweat and can be rinsed off post-workout without fear of damage.
These were developed in Australia over a three year period in coloration with extreme athletes and performance fitness enthusiasts. The result is the PUMP, which promises deep, thumping sound that is designed to let the beat set the pace.

The iPad might be good for Facetime and Angry Birds, but will it help actually save your life? Is there an app for that? Probably not, especially if there isn’t Wi-Fi, cellular towers and power. The Earl Backcountry Survival Tablet is for those times, and it is designed specifically for use in the wilds.
The 1,024×768 six inch flexible E-Ink screen, which provides visibility in direct sunlight as well as a “Lunar” mode for viewing at night, features a glove friendly infrared touchscreen as well as a gyroscope so it can work in a variety of conditions. The screen can even be used as a lantern during an emergency. Laminated solar panels provide up to 20 hours of battery, and the device can charge in just five hours of direct sun light.
The Earl Backcountry Survival Tablet features an IP67 rating and is waterproof, dust-proof, shock-proof and even mud-proof. It offers an internal weather sensor, a FRS, GMRS and MURS transceiver for use as a two-way radio; plus it offers a built-in AM/FM/SW/LW radio tuner. It includes GPS and Bluetooth 4.0, and it runs on Android 4.1 so yeah, it probably can even play Angry Birds while you wait for rescue.

Knowing weather conditions for shooting is a lot more important than simply putting on another layer or wearing an extra pair of socks. This is because the truth is that weather plays a significant role on how a shot fired from a gun will travel. Now Horus Vision, a company that develops technology to improve rifle accuracy at extended ranges, has teamed up with Kestrel Weather Meters to introduce the Horus Kestrel.
While the name might not seem innovative, the technology actually is – as this is the first device to incorporate weather (atmospherics) data into ballistics solutions in real-time. The integrated Kestrel 4500NV unit features five customizable targets, an extensive gun list and Horus’ proprietary truing technology. This was developed in part as a response to the military’s mission to obtain consolidated gear to minimize redundancy and bulk, and the result is integrated into the four-ounce pocked sized Kestrel Weather Tracker.
The Horus Kestrel is available in Olive Drab and Desert Tan, and is IP67 and MIL-STD-810G Rugged, which means it can stand up to conditions that most sport shooters won’t ever face. It is powered by two AAA batteries, and thus requires no chargers, plugs or external power source.
