Atom Bomb

Siva-Cycle-AtomSiva Cycle has launched its Atom Bomb. Well not really, but the company has launched its Kickstarter campaign for the Siva Cycle Atom, which aims to power your life on pedal stroke at a time.

The Atom is designed to be a lightweight yet highly efficient bicycle generator and rechargeable battery pack that can mount to most bicycle frames in a snap. The Atom is designed with top of the line magnetic rotors and features a lithium battery.

The idea is that you can power your devices while you pedal. Video after the jump

ReadySet Generator

Turning a bike into a power generator isn’t exactly a new idea, and we’ve seen numerous products that can get juiced up from some pedal power. But now Fenix International is looking to develop its Velo Bicycle Charger to work with the ReadySet power supply system. This portable battery back can also be charged from solar panels, micro-wind and micro-hydro devices, or juiced up from the grid before you head out.

It is portable power that can be powered up and then used to power your devices. ReadySet and go.

BikeCharge into Action

While pedal power can be used to get to work it can also be used to power up your devices. And the BikeCharge Dynamo from Hong Kong-based iBikeConsole uses the same pedal power that moves to the bike to juice the phone. It can be installed on a bike and it acts as a DC generator that is can power up devices via a USB port.

While it could take two to three hours of pedaling to get a full charge, it could be used during a regular commute to “top off” a phone or at least get enough power for a call or two. It features a waterproof design that can stand up to the elements but since most phones aren’t we’d suggest the appropriate case just in case the weather ruins the ride home.
