The Porsche of Bicycles

We’ve seen various automakers jumping on the bicycle bandwagon – Ferrari, Audi and Lamborghini to name a few – but the Porsche 911 caught our eyes. This isn’t actually a Porsche concept however, but rather is a dream coming from Dutch industrial designer Bastiaan Kok, who looked to create a bike that replicated the look of the famous Porsche automobile.

So will it see actual production we don’t know, but we can dream too. Additional images after the jump

Porsche Lends its Design to Bikes

You may not be able to pack it in your Porsche to drive to a ride, but you can look stylish on a Porsche bike. The performance auto maker just announced two bikes, the Porsche RS and S, which will be released in the fall in sizes S, M and L.

Both the RS and S bikes are 29ers, a trend in mountain bikes that uses wheel sizes similar to that on road and cyclocross bikes. The Porsche Bike S is constructed with a belt drive, which minimizes maintenance with a rubber belt in place of a chain. Continue reading Porsche Lends its Design to Bikes

Porsche’s Downhill Direction

Sledding may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Porsche, but Porsche’s design division just released its Porsche bobsleigh. If you’re dreaming of a Porsche under the tree this year, the bobsled might do well. It’s 8.8 lbs of an advanced composite material and an ergonomic design that will have you zooming down the hill.
