Sidi Goes Italian

SidiCycling apparel maker Sidi has partnered with Castelli this season with a new line of men’s and women’s cycling attire that offers a bit of flare and a whole lot of fashion. This new lineup pairs nicely with the Sidi road shoes, and is inspired by some of the greats of Italian cycling, including the Pippo, named for Flippo Pozzato; an Ivan Basso design and even one for Dino Signori, the founder of Sidi.

Cycling Inspired Shoes

We see a lot of cycling shoes, and we’ve been noticing a trend in shoes meant for cycling that look like dress shoes. Now Sidi has a street shoe that resembles a cycling shoe. The Frame looks just like a road shoe, but is actually meant for walking – and not just to the podium.

It features highly breathable synthetic uppers with 3D coated mesh, and even Velcro closures. Available in three colors including yellow – for those who may never don the jersey but want to feel like they’re leading the pack.

The shoes – as the name most certainly suggests – take advantage of Sidi’s Tecno 3 ratcheting cable system across the entire foot for a more comfortable and uniform fit. A full-release switch makes it easy to take the shoes off in a snap. Continue reading Eurobike 2012: Sidi Out With a Wire

Interbike 2011: Key Brands Returning

As we head into spring that means we’re at about the “half way” point to another Interbike, the the cycling industry’s annual flagship trade event. This year the show hits its 30 year mark, and is quickly selling out as exhibitors large and small lock up their space for the September 14-16 show at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“Interbike 2011 is already shaping up to be one of our biggest shows ever,” said Show Director Andy Tompkins. “The mix of established brands that exhibit every year and companies new to the cycling industry or just new to the show provide retailers with the opportunity to see the latest offerings from every corner of the cycling world, something that can only happen at an event as broad based and well-attended as Interbike.” Continue reading Interbike 2011: Key Brands Returning
