Seeing the Pixel

ZAP-Bike-JacketWhen it comes to TVs and other display technology what you don’t want to see are the individual pixels. This is why higher resolution looks better. However, there is another kind of Pixel technology that is being developed that is actually all about being seen.

Apparel maker Sugoi has introduced a new line of fabric that allows the entire surface of a garment to be reflective when hit with light. Instead of accents on the new Zap cycling jacket that work as reflectors, the entire jacket can light up at night and ensure that riders or runners can’t be missed. Video after the jump

The King and I

King-of-the-RoadWhen you’re a pro cyclists like Ted King of the Cannondale Pro Cycling team you can expect to get some personalized riding attire. Now Sugoi has come out with a very special “King of the Road” jersey. It features a New England-style plaid pattern, an image of a maple syrup bottle sticking out of the rear pocket and even King’s signature crown logo.

The jersey is made of Sugoi’s FinoTech fabric with a semi-relaxed cut and raglan sleeves. It has three elastic rear pockets. Partial proceeds from the sale of each jersey go to help support the Krempels Center, dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injury in King’s native New Hampshire.
